Niche player, focused with continued R&D spend, addressing growing market, bigger players are more diversified and distracted.

What other company shows that they are innovative STILL in this market??
There aren't many and once the storm subsides and business starts buying again, this is a stock to own. There will only be a lot fewer players in this space at that time. Yes you will count them on one hand, with fingers to spare.

I bought this stock after our company installed the phone system in our offiice. Good products, Award winning, Large % of Inside Ownership. The stock got hammered earlier this year on an earnings miss and continues to get beat down by a falling market. The company has made some good alliances globally which should boost international revenue. It is literally at the bottom right now so it apears that it has nowhere to go but up.

Great technology, industry leader. This one will definitely rebound after it troughs out.

Considering the announcement of the civil liablity investigation, I'd say investors will stay away from this one for a little while. Although long term it could be a good buy.

This has farther to tank.

VoIP is the wave of the future in telephony. But the smart money is in the hardware, not the service. Shortel reportedly has an excellent, easy to use phone system that makes its customers very happy. There is a ton of room for growth in this industry and we should be seeing a increased number of business using VoIP phone services as the service improves.

This company is nothing like Vonage and if you think otherwise, you don't know what you are talking about. ShoreTel makes business telephone systems. Their products are excellent. They are are easy to use and end-users are more productive when using Shoretel products. I am in the industry and have seen 80%+ of companies around here that sell phone systems, pick up the Shoretel line. I have personally met with a lot of them and most of the owners tell me that they push ShoreTel for almost ALL new opportunities. These are companies who previously sold Nortel, Intertel, Toshiba, Mitel and Avaya for years. Avaya and Cisco are ShoreTel's two main competitors in this space. ShoreTel usually wins the business 75% of the time when brought in to a deal. Also, ShoreTel is discontinuing customer incentives this quarter Q4/07 which tells me two things: business is so good they don't need them and two gross margins will increase.
