+ Watch SLCA
on My Watchlist
has done will for me all year long, still looks strong
As fracking safety improves and the industry ramps up even more, there will be a growing demand for SLCA's injection product.
EOG has had superior results using considerably more sand propellant per lateral foot. I believe this will be a growing trend with other oil companies in tight shale formations. As drilling steps up more tonnage of sand wil be required for a growing number of completions. As demand increases, so will the price for fracking grade sand.
Sand is wonderful! A high demand product for industrial customers.
who would nave thought playing with sand could make you wealthy?
Recent winner riding a good long term trend.
it seems like such a basic, boring commodity, yet, with the domestic O&G energy boom in full-swing; good quality sand is in demand & should continue for a good while as the alternatives - while good performing - are currently significantly more expensive than good 'ole silica!-)
Growing demand for their product
Great oilfield stock
Really solid fundamentals and growth.
makes silica used in fracking; large barriers to entry
positive gains on high volume; it must be doing something right
I'm stepping a little outside of my circle of competence here, and am also a little late to the party. The articles below explain why I think (even at this price) US Silica Holdings will continue to outperform for awhile longer. In summary, they sell dirt, and it's in high demand!http://www.marketwatch.com/story/fracking-makes-for-sunny-times-in-sand-2012-03-06http://news.investors.com/business/022613-645798-us-silica-fourth-quarter-earnings-beat.htm?ven=djcp
US drilling is booming due to fracturing the tight reservoir. This company produces the sand used in fracing.
