SPLINTERNET Holdings, Inc. (SLNH.OB)
The Company is presently considering the acquisition of other companies operating in the VOIP market space under circumstances where there is a strategic, technology and marketing fit for enhancement.

Well, maybe this company won't be a one-trick pony. It's trying to find itself in something other than VOIP. Think geiger counters.
It has a sensor system which detects gamma radiation in a dirty bomb. It recently acquired a privately-held radiation detection company with personnel to market the company's radiation detection architecture and alert system. Radioactive storage sites, military bases, power plants and border crossings would be potential customers. "We believe this industry is in its infancy," said Splinternet's vice president of corporate development.
Washington, D.C.-based Civitas Group says a ripe market exists for dirty bomb detection. Civitas estimates the total private sector market for nuclear and radiological security at about $2.4 billion. Civitas predicts that market could grow to $13.5 billion over the next five years.
William Vassell, chairman and chief executive officer of Stamford-based Murdoch Security Group, said Splinternet's products could make it a corporate acquisition target. "They will probably be taken over by one of the GE Capitals of the world," Vassell said.
I dunno, but this could be worth a ride for awhile. I'm going long at $1.80/share.

I'm simply piling on a stock I believe is going nowhere. Not real good fundamentals, but is a thinly traded issue.

A bit of jumping on the bandwagon, but from what I've seen it's a good shot at getting 100 points for me!

Re-Up. There's no money to be made in VOIP, it's basically free already.
Recs
No value whatsoever here.

It's too easy to make calls for free or very cheaply over the internet. The only thing that made the service look mildly attractive (for a very brief moment) was the added features of call waiting, call forwarding, hold etc. People have phones for this. And no one is going to give up their phones for something that may not work 100% of the time. What if the system goes down? What if you have to call 911? Regular phones are reliable. People need phones. And you have the internet call services like Skype to save money. I don't think this company will last.

"Too little" of a company in "too late" an industry. This thing is pretty much DOA!

CAPS hates this stock.

With under $3million in cash, this stock is on its way to 0. Consider the recent runnup an excellent shorting opportunity.

This company is a day late and a dollar short. I simply don't see how they are going to come from this far behind and actually compete against the big boys. I don't see anything that makes them stand out or give them an advantage that would enable them to gain much in the way of market share. It's like showing up to a gunfight without packing any heat - Splinternet isn't going to be walking away from this one. Anyone have a body bag?
