Has this company ever made money? The only thing going for it is that it's backed by the REC-QCells-Good Energies machine. By itself, it's a money pit.

Thumbs down across the sector for one reason and one reason only: No stock deserves to double in value in a matter of days based on a single, vague, announcement of government intent.

Solarfun. Get it while its simmering. Buy 4 dollar gloves and maintain this pot of gold because it will be hot in the near future. This is a steal. Will surpass the very debated $20 dollar mark and maintain.

With new lows being established almost daily, I have watched SOLF plummet. I think we are nearing a point where there is less of a chance of more downward movement, and more of a chance of upward movement. Couple that with worldwide initiatives in alternative energy, and SOLF should start moving higher.

The year of the Bull (ox) in China. OIl will be back. Solar is becoming more and more viable. It is the next personal computer. The orignal models were very inefficient and cost too much. Same deal. There are companies out there that are churning out solar panels at 1-1.50 a watt. Even at $2 at watt, the average house would need to spend about 15 thousand. Alot? No with 7,500 tax credits, the 7,500 dollar out of pocket expense would be made up in 3 years (assuming current 200 monthly electric bill). That's a great investment. Solar is the wave of the future. The market will soon realize.

Good P/E ratio, oversold industry. With Solar power coming to the forefront in the Obama administration, this sector stands to do well over the long term.

Guaranteed contracts in 2009, with adequate cash and credit to fund operations, vertically integrated, improving margins due to reduced polysilicon costs, supperior management team, enterred US market in August of 2008, and traditionally conservative guidance with promised return to cash flow positive status in second half of 2009. With the price drops comes the implicit announcement that they will be more price competitive than others in this space and may pick up substantial market share in an industry with many players.

With the turmoil in the market (now worldwide) and especially the housing market there will surely continue a slowing in building sector. I caught this one on the way up at 12 then more at 24 then the bottom fell bought in low at 10 and now waiting to get out.
