Ultrasound is everywhere and is already portable in the medical community. The small size of sono site is its main advantage. Other competitors can easily match that characteristic, so no moat there.

Sonosite makes the best ultra sound products for emergency medicine. Ultrasound has become the modern day stethescope for an ER doctor. It is an inexpensive way to diagnose and detect internal bleeding and other serious symptoms. There are ER Dr.s that specialize in ultrasound. In the future, Doctors in other fields will eventually find the use of ultrasound.
