Ultras will always lose long-term due to the fees they have to pay to maintain their short positions.
The market goes up over the long run. I'll get burned on this from time to time in the short term, but long-run it will be good.
Direxion Shares ETF Trust Large Cap Bear 3x , don't bet against the American economy, especially with a leveraged and COSTLY ETF.
Leveraged ETFs inherently decline over time due to how they are structured.
As per other standouting holdings, let's leverage the crack up boom in the US equity markets by shorting leveraged ultra-shorts .. Dow 20k+ here we come, and that's just the beginning.
Will continuously lose value as long as we are in a secular bull market.
3X bear funds tend to be crappy in the long-term. Large caps are almost by definition successful investments(or were at some point). This is an easy long-term red thumb.
3x leverage is triple fees bleeding you dry
Getting killed on technical direction of market, I call bullsh*t.
US Large Cap is where I want to be right now.
Not saying doom and glom, just saying correction possible.
Because I'm getting in a bearish mood, and that's what this stock is all about.
Following TMFBabo's lead and my own feeling that the markets will generally rise through the national election... no other analysis done.
This kind of triple ETF will always underperform over the long run due to the way it is constructed. Note: I am not saying you cannot make any money holding this ETF, just that over a prolonged time it will lose money. I have now harvested positive scores on a 3x ETF and its inverse 28 times, yielding 490 points and 50 for 50 on my accuracy (6 times my harvested score was positive, but dropped below the magic +5 number).
