I have been in and out of this stock a few times since October 2011. It is a very interesting stock, and there are some nefarious activities going on in the trading arena. First off, for over a year now (since around June 2013) there has been what can only be called a CYBER-ATTACK on the Yahoo Finance Message Board that [had served] as a place for those interested in this company to exchange ideas and information. There was of course the usual blatant pumping/bashing, spam, personal attacks, and other off-topic posts just as can be found on any other Yahoo Finance Message Board; however this attack was different. There is some sort of automated posting program that posts continually on the board every few minutes 24 / 7 / 365. Users have even named the poster as the BOT (short for robotic poster). Whoever is programming the BOT is at least occasionally reading the SQNM Yahoo Finance Message Board that he is disrupting, as the subject line of his posts sometimes refer to board users and company events. The posts themselves are just random sentences with financial terminology included, in order to avoid being detected by Yahoo spam blockers. Even though several board users have tried to report the BOT to Yahoo, the Cyber Attack persists. Yahoo has on occasion blocked the BOT when enough users have taken the time to click on the "report abuse" link, but the BOT just returns again with new user ID's. It is easy to spot the BOT posts, as there are about 20 pages worth of these meaningless posts with subjects designed to ridicule and harass current SQNM long shareholders. Even when the BOT ID's are placed on ignore and it's posts are no longer seen, the Yahoo message board will display a grayed-out post that says "post hidden because you ignored this user". The BOT tactic is to post it's jibberish nonstop thousands of times, so that even if it is ignored, when you go to the SQNM Yahoo Finance Message Board you will just see page after page after page of grayed-out posts stating "this post hidden because you ignored this user". As the stock price ebbs and flows (currently on a tear upward) newcomers and daytraders looking to the message board for information will be disappointed that there is literally very little to be had. Occasionally a new piece of information will be posted by a regular board user, but it will soon be pushed back 20 pages by the incessant BOT posts. As a result, long-time users of the SQNM Yahoo Finance Message Board have had to take matters into their own hands, and have created an alternative SQNM message board in Google Groups. This board is moderated by the user who created the forum, so it cannot be infected by the spam BOT, and other irrelevant garbage. So the new forum has gained traction and has become the go to arena for information exchange for this stock, as a result of Yahoo's lack of responsiveness to board users. Still, newcomers and the casual trader looking for information and discussion usually found on the Yahoo Finance Message Board for SQNM, will be perplexed when all he finds is the rare informative post, and 20-30 pages of jibberish... most would not bother going back any further than 2 or 3 pages looking for relevant discussion, and to this end the BOT has been quite successful in disrupting the SQNM investment communities' information exchange. The real question here is: Who is running this BOT program, and why? This is a 24 / 7 / 365 pursuit, that requires constant attention as Yahoo blocks ID's. and new ID's are required. Additionally, because the BOT harasses known board regulars by referring to them and to current company events, it is obvious that this effort requires attention. This is not just a casual spammer, but a dedicated Cyber-Attack that requires funding; and before anybody starts with the tinfoil-hat jokes, you should check it out for your self. Despite this ongoing attack by anonymous criminals, SQNM stock is on a tear and it appears as though the company is headed toward profitability before the end of this year. Hopefully, this will at last mark the end of the attack and SQNM shareholders and traders can get their Yahoo message board back.

If SQNM confirmed the uptrend on revenue next quarter, it will be a easy double-up, and I am sure it will.

The other day I walked into a patient's room and began to take her history. She gaped at me and asked, "Doctor, don't you remember me? You saw me before."

I sighed. "Ma'am, I'm sorry but I can't possibly remember every patient I've seen before. I've seen more than thirty thousand people just in this emergency room alone."

"But doctor, " she said, "you just came in and asked me these questions twenty minutes ago."

Now that's embarrassing, but not half as embarrassing as being taken to the woodshed not once but twice with outperform ratings on Sequenom. The first time I got sucked into the collapse after employees falsified data in the SequreDX validation trial in 2009. More recently, I got suckered into management's bogus pronouncements of increased success in obtaining insurance reimbursements. The most recent blow to the stock was invalidation of a crucial patent by the US District Court of Northern California, who decided that the process in question was actually a natural phenomenon.

The real reason I'm changing direction on Sequenom here is the horrendous balance sheet. 85M in cash and 149M in debt, with a quarterly burn remaining in the 28-32M range. Sequenom has promised improvement every quarter ever since they began to market MaterniT21, but every CC it turns out that increased expenses have kept pace with any gains in revenue. Unless quarterly numbers in March show that Sequenom has finally lived up to their rhetoric, another ugly dilutive financing is virtually certain.

Huge market for a harmless blood test which can give you results almost as accurate as amnio.

Full disclosure. I am in the business side of healthcare. Well versed in OB pathways and the revenue cycle.

1. Insurance inclusion is certain. Amniocentesis includes both a professional and technical charge against the insurance provider, as well as a ultrasound charge separate from the Amnio procedure itself. It is higher when the procedure is done in a hospital-based clinic. The SQNM test is a single charge ancillary. This alone will provide savings to carriers.

2. While insurance coverage is certain, there should have been no rational believe that agreements could have been struck prior to the release of the data. Carriers needed to see if the test was clear enough to supplant amnio in the pathway, and (most importantly) how often. You cant run that point estimate without the data.

3. There are a range of referring doctors that would prefer to avoid amino simply for throughput reasons. MFM's have higher value activities that they can engage in...nearly across the board. Front-line OB's need to be in a posture to be admitting/performing on a moments notice with their patient base. In particular, OB's in a RVU model of reimbursement would do better to avoid this long, cautious procedure if an alternative was available

4. The technology has enormous intrinsic value. If SQNM lacks the chassis to deploy it, there are several companies that will find the technology to be highly accretive to their existing business development infrastructure.

5. SQNM has the appearance of a highly maliciously manipulated stock. The manipulation is of no consequence except to the holders that were seeking ST gains or have ST liquidity needs.

6. Undoubtedly, there will be a sharp indefensible correction that will trap the short speculators. Bulls, Bears, & Pigs...... Prior to the release of the data, one could make a good case for posturing as either a Bull or Bear.... Today, the only option is Bulls & Pigs.
