UltraShort Real Estate ProShares (AMEX:SRS)

This strategy will work as long as the ETFs don't go into discount.

The leverage in these along with rebalancing and management costs, plus the long-term upward trend in markets makes them poor performers over the long term. Easy red thumb points.

Badly designed ETF. Only go long on short term bets. Long term it will always loose value.

don't buy any ultrashort. they have sky high expense ratios and are guaranteed to lose whether the market moves up, fluctuates, or even move down while fluctuating. Ultrashort etfs are okay if you are a day trader, but they will definitely lose over the long term.

Summer of defeat and stocks will suffer more.

Real estate will get a drubbing once the 'recovery' turns out to be not that much of a recovery at all. The enormous overhang of both residential and commercial property on the market that will not find buyers or renters, will kill property pricing and drive SRS up signficantly.

Again, don't like these 2x or 3x stocks, but with housing credit expiring, etc.

Real estate will find a recovery somehow.

This pick may be a little premature, but real estate is at or near bottom and turning.

Commercial real estate is about to swoon big-time, and rising vacancies and falling rents will crush REIT's. SRS promises big returns to those who trade it nimbly.
