Decided to go ahead and take a position in them at this price.
They could pay off big, or they could go belly up (though that is unlikely imo), more likely they would just get bought out for their assets.
They sold some shares and are doing a rights offering both in the U.S. and Australia, to raise capital to continue with their drilling activity.
Don't really know a lot about their knowledge and expertise in the oil business, but am not in heavy enough to worry about it just yet.
Will wait and watch to see how they do, and will try to learn more about them and their operation.
I first looked at this company when they sold some property and got (for them), a lot of cash, but just could not get excited at that time about what they would do as an operating company.
It is cheap enough to take a "flyer" on and to see if I could make the "slot machine" pay off.
Do your own DD, because at this point, anything could happen.
JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.

It's a good one.

This is one of the few Gas/Oil Companies that is still @ a penny stock status with the potential to grow rapidly as the world demand increases in emerging markets, i.e. China/India

Double or BK. I'm betting on double:-)

low priced Oil Stock

Oil is there, Price isn't going to drop much. All they need is more holes in the ground to get it up and to the market.

Oil will steadily grow in price, as will this companies stock. I predict several extremes throughout the year, but by December the stock is going to find itself a few percent ahead of where it was in early January.

Little or no debt and the Brakken field position bode well for future development or partnership possibility with other Co's in same area

The Balken is hit but leases are becoming HBP, so the drilling activity will decline, still these are very expensive wells so only the financially sound will continue to develope these properties to potential and I believe SNN to be one.

Covestor Model Manager William Smith sold SSN in his Price Volatility Volume Covestor Model ( http://covestor.com/William-Smith )

Let me just list all the red flags. p/e over 100, p/b over 14, only 9 employees for a company w/ a market cap above 300 million, less than 10 million in revenue over past 3 years. Yes they have some land in the new hot oil shale plays but they don't have the expertise with horizontal drilling to capitalize on this. This stock is very overbought.

Great oil play in the second largest reserve in the world. can you say $5/gal gas?
Recs
Still underpriced for the potential this company has! Will continue to rise and perform!
Recs
SSN has an excellent acreage position in the Bakken oilfield. The estimated reserves in their acreage, plus their holdings in an adjacent oilfield have just been re-estimated by the Government Minerals and Land Management Bureau. The new estimates are twice as large the recoverable reserve capacity previously believed.
