With its initial push to drive this stock high, I don't see anything that will say this can beat the market unless they come out with a string of strong earnings.

This company is a simple monopoly in the Chinese digital TV market. The digital conversion process in China is supported and sometimes even 'forced' by the government so their revenue/profit has only one direction to go for the coming 3-5 years. Do agree with the Fool analysis though that we need to keep an eye on the company's long term strategy once the peak is over for their smart card business.

Hmm I closed this pick. In RL I bought in Dec '08 for $5.10 (Thanks Caps!) and sold in late March for $7.45. I anticipate buying back into STV when the stock takes it's next undeserved drop. Same scenario with BIDU, CHL & FMCN
