Incredible oil sands reserves plus Petro Canada combination gives me confidence that they will be leaders when the world economy turns (whenever that might be). Carbon based energy sources will be vital for many years to come.

The oilsands are cheaper than you think, and these guys are leveraged to oil as such.

higher oil prices (now 46$) will come back and the co. will be profitable for years to come. appears to have found a bottom in the 20s.

Oil prices are low now and will remain so through the end of 2009 most likely, but with the rising demand in Asia and Africa and the decreasing production should drive up costs. Suncor has investments in Canadian oilsands which are currently the second largest oil reserves in the world.
