Canadian oil sands. In very strong position with high oil prices and is very likely to remain so with the U. S. as a strong buyer.

Pure growth play. Owns the largest oil sands field in North America. Has great long term growth prospects, especially as the cost of extracting oil from sand comes down.

The market has over-reacted to this. Cost of production is at less than $40 / bbl, and it is not likely that oil will drop that low

Peak Oil - companies with calls on oil resources when the majors start to decline will be in a great position to take advantage of rising crude oil.

Excellent growth of revenues & earnings; currently in a heavy investment phase that will pay off in 5-yr. timeframe; oil prices seem stuck at $100+; excellent ROIC, ROE; Fairly valued given uncertainties but I believe technology will prevail.

Oil prices are low now and will remain so through the end of 2009 most likely, but with the rising demand in Asia and Africa and the decreasing production should drive up costs. Suncor has investments in Canadian oilsands which are currently the second largest oil reserves in the world.

crack spreads on rise, passthru beginning on higher priced crude per bbl costs, shove the chips into the middle of the table, time to go all in on the bet. expecting bullish drawdowns of inventories, let em' run. no sign yet of demand destruction.
