Suncor has politically and meteorologically stable and safe reserves. Other oil companies are subject to hurricanes (which WILL impact Gulf Coast operations this year) and political instability (which, thanks to GW Bush, is sure to increase globally).

Pure growth play. Owns the largest oil sands field in North America. Has great long term growth prospects, especially as the cost of extracting oil from sand comes down.

Good alternative energy play. Natural gas is going to be more practical that Ethanol and some of the other choices. They are in on the Canadian Oil Sands. The US is going to be buying lots of their oil in the coming years. T.Boone Pickens likes this one.

A screaming buy with oil at only $52 a barrel. 30 plus years of reserves in the Canadian Oil Sands. Makes a profit as long as oil is above $35 per barrel.

The stock is cheap relative to the potential for appreciation given its large oil reserves and the temporary pull back in oil.

As T Boone Pickens once said " I'm always buying Suncor". This stock should be a core holding in ANY portfolio.

SU is a Canadian oil sands company with other forward loooking energy projects under way. The company is environmentally conscientious and has good realtions with teh native Americans who previosly inhabited the oil sands region. Although they won't admit it, Saudi Arabia is drying up, and SU will grwo in the long run.

owns huge tracts of oil sands land. although the energy required to extract this oil is so intense, the company is well run and has really solid fundamentals...

I love the potential this company has moving forward. While this stock has had impressive gains in 2006, the upside is still HUGE. This is the right company in the right market, at even at current pricing, I love this one and see a huge upside for the next several years. My thought is to add positions at current levels and as the stock rises.
