Getting lean & mean. They need some new stategies to fend off WMT but their management is capable of competing (as long as they know their customer). SVU shoppers aren't the same as WMT shoppers. More medium income shoppers who want the convenience more than the lowest price. WMT might be 5% cheaper but their stores are so large that 5% advantage is really a disadvantage when you factor shopping time.

This stock was picked in the Forbes Special Situation newletter by Vahan Janjigian. I am tracking these picks to see if the newsletter would be worth the subscription price.

Technically a dip to $40 would be ideal to initiate long positions. Btw, I got my technical reports from PALMA RESEARCH (www.Palmaresearch.com) since it is free for the time being. If someone can tell me whether they are good or whether there is another similar service I would appreciate that information. Thank you so much.

sunflower market subsidiary is failing - chicago store is empty all the time, variety is terrible, and worst of all, you can see that there was a lot of money invested into technology, which does not seem to be panning out too well.

Probably will encounter some problems absorbing albertsons for the next year or so, but when families want to spend less money, as they will next year, SVU will benefit.
