I can't believe I didn't think to call this when the stock was at $35. My husband works at Safeway, and the inefficiencies he witnesses are absurd. This might be long, but at least you'll know how your Safeway works!

Defensive play going into Q409 and 2010. S&P is up quite a bit, Safeway is down, plus it pays a dividend.
