It's the technology and the recent partnership with Tyson Foods that will make this stock a star performer in the future. The clean diesel and jet fuel can be blended with the oil derived fuels for reducing reliance of imported fuel.

The military has long sought a reliable domestic fuel source, this is it. Check out Rentech (RTK), a competitor to SYNM. Rentech has just signed a contract for clean diesel fuel for transport vehicles at LAX. Rentech's jet fuel has already been approved by the USAF, and by ASTM for commercial jet fuel. It won't be long before SYNM getas the same approvals.

RTK and SYNM are a small part of my portfolio, but I expect them to really take off within the next 5 years. RTK already has for me. I bought RTK between $0.48 and $0.61 and sold half my holdings in the $2.50 range.

Peak Oil is here now. It will be most evident within the next 3 to 5 years. The F-T technologies of RTK, SYNM and their partner companies are viable now and ready to enter the commercial production stage. There aren't that many opportunities to get on board early in a new technology, but this is one of them. It may not be the next Apple or Google, but RTK and SYNM will be rockets nonetheless.

Syntroleum is a very interesting. Unlike bio-diesel, synthetic diesel is an Ultra Clean fuel that has lower sulfur levels than traditional bio-diesel and/or crude oil. It also performs better in colder temperatures and has faster ignition from initial injection to combustion.
The recent venture & commitment of Tyson Foods and the building of North America’s first renewable synthetic fuels plant in Geismar, Louisiana is very, very positive. I (personally) see no concerns here. Yes, short term revenue, earnings, poor balance sheet is expected. However, the military is already very interested and has tested the product; if they award SYMN a contract; that equals instant guaranteed government revenue. The current administration should be happy with the product due to its ultra clean technology and being developed right here in good ole USA. Therefore, I’m pretty sure that any Company that will use this - will get there Ultra Green Clean Approval.

Inside Ownership—New Plant—New Product—Military interest—Commercial Applications—High Performance Jet Fuel, already equals a positive future with great opportunities ahead.

I’m sure these folks below will work diligently to see this new technology and Company succeed.

With the market in full bull run mode, I seriously doubt there is alot of upside here, especially with gas prices so low. long term this might be worth a flier if you have some extra money though.

I am gonna give this a shot because I like the technology aspect not the balance sheet. This is what I call the "rocket fuel" part of my portfolio. Not a huge holding but could be a multibagger if they can ride out the cash flow issues. Cheers!

The new plant opens in the next couple of months, with lots of earnings growth to follow. Their partnership with Tyson foods will benefit them greatly. Hopefully they put all that chicken oil to good use! I usually dont invest in companies with a 20x earnings ratio, but this one is still undervalued significantly. Buyer in RL.

Synthetic Petroleum, sounds like a good idea to me.
RennTech is doing pretty good too, you won't be seeing electric / hybrid airplanes for "a while," and certainly not in the military for a long, long time.

they have a product that has already passed rigorous testing
by the air force and is highly touted by pentagon officials
as a fuel security hedge. they are on schedule and budget for completing the louisianna refinery project in conjunction with tyson.
according to company officials as recently as today, it will happen... what's not to like?

They make biodiesel and JET FUEL out of chicken fat and other farm/agricultural waste. This is not only valuable recycling but also much cleaner burning fuel as well with less emissions. They have an agreement with Tyson Foods (huge US chicken/agriculture business) to supply them. Lots of patents of new technology. Can convert coal to gasoline or gasses into liquids. The biodiesel is also made into an easy transportable gel before being made into fuel. This is a way to combat emissions and create sustainable (estimates of cutting united states oil consumption by 1/3 if all current waste mater was converted into fuel. They are building a refining plant and once that is completed watch for one of those penny stock -> $20 really quick. Lots of insider ownership and quite a few billionaires in on this one as well. There is definitely some risk on this one though. Not only is this stock incredibly volatile they also don’t really have anything until a refinery is finished. They are also having money problems which explain the stocks low price as of this writing. This is a speculative pick but if it hits i think it will blow its previous (25.50) high in the dust after a few years running at production. That is one hell of a multibagger even if it does take a few years.

The SYNM (Dynamic Fuels) partnership with Tyson will make this stock scream. Oil supply will never outpace demand until all possible alternatives have been exploited to their fullest extent. Only possible drawbacks are the limited resources the company has to defend its patented processes. Congress needs to fund development of syntroleum products. Eventually, they're somewhat likely to figure that out.

Fat from Tyson chicken plus beef &pork fat is high in cetane. In fact the government is happy with this as they flew a B-52 with this synthetic fuel. Besides the Geismar plant to be started in 3q of 2008,another on paper for ohio and the big one in Queensland Australia. 1/3 of mideast oil can be eliminated. Great for the trucking industry. Search SYNM and find the pdf 30 page merryman report.

I think Syntroleum may have finally turned the corner. They have technology that will increasingly gaining more attention as oil becomes more expensive and people realize that using cropland for something other than food is not a very good idea. Positives: Joint Venture with Tyson, GO Zone Bonds approved, Successful Air Force Test, Fischer Trop Technology.

Negatives: No earnings to speak of and no revenue stream for a couple of years.

I believe that the JV with Tyson and the GO Zone Bond approvals will give them the kick-start they needed. Speculative stock that could pay off in a big way.
