AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T)

gotta love the Dividend..

Seems like the company is just standing by as its competitors make moves to improve. Very few major announcements about changes/upgrades in services. With the way Softbank and Dish are fighting over Sprint, whomever wins that battle will end up with a strong position to compete. AT&T needs to make some moves, and fast.

This stock will outperform because although big, AT&T know how to adapt. They have a strong financial position and so will be able to continue to finance innovation and advances. AT&T has a solid market, makes great partnerships and continues to hire great leaders.

Fair Value = $38.26

Book Value = $16.23

Discounted Free Cash Flow Value = $22.03

(Model Parameters: $15k YOY Free Cash Flow, 14% Discount Rate, 0% YOY Growth Rate, -3% Terminal Rate)

I believe this model is valid because the YOY growth rate should not be 0%, hopefully inflation won't be as bad as 3% YOY (government sure is trying hard to give us hyperinflation though), and of course nearly 5% dividend.

I just sold my T stock after my iPhone contract ended with AT&T I decided to look at options as I did not want to continue paying $70 a month and did not feel I needed to buy another phone, what I decided to do was just use goggle voice and not pay anything per month. This does mean I can only use phone in wi-fi areas but for me that is fine. I think that as contracts expire on smartphones people will be shopping around more for the best deals, good for the consumer but harder for companies to maintain margins.

Has lots of growth potential still.

Smaller cellular companies are offering non-contract prepaid phone rates that are significantly lower than ATT rates. As a consequence, ATT has had to offer a non-contract plan to keep their customer base from leaving. Expect ATT's lower prices to hit revenues and earnings as more customers find out and switch when their two year contracts are up.

Solid soldier with a strong dividend that will help to keep it near the present price if a market correction occurs.
