A laggard,, unique product line. Security and safety a growing industry for an ageing society. If gun control expands, TASR needs to find a way to get a toned down stunner to market for the parnoid masses!!

We are continually expanding into non-lethal weaponry. Taser is the big winner in this situation, no matter what.

Taser gives investors a "jolt" from time to time. Global unrest may be "good" for Taser. Supplies and restock are expensive, but the product does not have widespread adoption in some areas due to liability concerns. If you have a choice between non-lethal force and lethal, you also have the choice of what non-lethal force to use.

Taser has it's proponents and generally heavy short interest. No difinitive opinion at this point. I've read both points of views, and I think the product outlook is somewhere in the middle. I'm not "game" for a 4X P/B or a 3X P/S. Two quarters booking $3Million in revenue each quarter doesn't outweigh three years of loses. I don't believe the last 15% spike is sustainable at this point. I might get shocked short term with these bad habits of trying to skim 10-15% in a few weeks, but overall I'll play the trend and take the risk.

Short term retrace. Wouldn't play this down from $5.85 where it is today, but had to bite at $6.15. Looking for a retrace back to $5.60 or lower if they don't meet the high expectations next quarter.

There is a worldwide fad called 'Occupy' that is attracting people who would not normally protest. Law enforcement agencies may prefer to use non-lethal means to move the occupiers along. Taser have a new model out and various OH&S laws may require that police and security personal are protected by non-lethal force.

New X2 model and international growth. Middle east and emerging economies need non-lethal options.

Taser International shook the market for law enforcement, military and security applications with the introduction of the M26. It shook it again with the introduction of the X26, which is now deployed world wide.

Its recent inventions, the X3 and XREP haven't done nearly as well as their predecessors.

TASR is going to stay exactly where it is, until (if) they come out with a new and revolutionary less-lethal weapon that surpasses the X26.

After getting hit with a 10 million dollar loss in court as posted by the media no one will want to be around it. Even though the courts in North Carolina limit damage compensation to less than 1 million dollars all the media will report is the 10 million dollar verdict against them

I'm a Police Officer. I can tell you first hand from my agency and others. We don't tase people as often as most think. There is simply too much paperwork for something you can do with hands on, where paperwork is minimal or none. This is important because less usage means less buying of replacement tasers and cartridges. It was a neat thing years ago, but an hour's worth of paperwork just does not justify the use.

The police will continue to need non-lethal means of bringing criminals down. Criminals will continue to be criminals. Essentially, there is a never ending demand for what these guys can supply.

For the last eight years Taser has strengthened relationships with law enforcement departments and with domestic and foreign governments. They still have no credible competition in the market. Management has aggressively defended the technology in the courts with a very high degree of success. With over 40 milliion in cash and no debt the company appears to be able to weather the remainder of the storm. They have had recent cuts in R&D but this technology is relatively young and has a great future for advancement including hand held laser weapons. I also like the fact that after 3 splits there are still only 62 million shares outstanding. When happy days are here again I believe the U.S. Government and foreign governments, states and municipalities will drive demand. It will be harder for lawsuits to stop momentum on the next breakout. There will also be a greater awareness of the stock on a world wide basis. I look for Taser to establish plants in Europe and Asia. I predict the first dividend in 2022.

Taser's growth is largely dependent upon government spending at local levels. Given the macro economic conditions, globally speaking, such discretionary spending is fairly limited for some time to come

New product lines will be purchased in large orders before 2011. Profit is set to increase and future earnings will be 3 times 2008 levels in 2012.

Metallic Pink C2's for the future female overlords will be needed, and replaced, recharged, refilled, and they have to have the cute holster with a mp3 player.. lol

Taser continues to come up with new innovative products and departments, slowly, will be adding a taser to each officer's belt. Probably one of the most effective tools in law enforcement and that's not going to change.

While the economy is rough the enforcement of law will require more use of devices like tasr supplies. They will switch tomaking a larger portion of profit on reloads and demand for the recording and evidence will greatly increase. These types of devices will soon out number or at least equal the number of fire arms for law enforcement in the next 5 years.

Gotta love their Q4 earnings jump every year around Christmas. Nothing says Ho-Ho-Ho like a stun gun in your stocking. What I'm currently looking at is their AXON officer-mounted camera system, which could be a big earner if it catches on. It definitely provides solid evidence and probably provides SOME protection for the officers. I would think that anyone but the most idiotic of scumbags would think it over before casually assaulting someone who is wearing an evidence-gathering camera. Additionally, as usage grows, more juries will begin to expect video evidence in court, which could have the effect of basically forcing other police departments to use them. If it's slow to catch on or if a competitor comes out with something more popular, I'll probably move my money somewhere else.
