Everyone questions the management, and I think those questions are justified. But few people who have really studied Taser stun-gun technology and its positive effects both for the police department and for citizen safety can see any ambiguitity at all, here. Virtually all the negative headlines (and there have been so many) about Taser supposedly "causing" deaths have been tossed out in court because the deaths are being caused by other things like toxic drug use that were killing someone anyway, absent the Taser. This product is really catching on. Stock is on a comeback path. Speculative. We shall see if we're right. I'm willing to take the risk.

Niche market of law enforcement with a lot of barriers to entry. Imagine the ability to save lives without endangering the security personnel involved either.
Company is in a steady growth phase and has not started expansion internationally. That calls for unlimited potential.
The management may lack the expertise to go it alone or manage the wall street expectations well. However I think this company may see multifold growth with excellent management and may already be on the radar screen of several other companies as a possible takeover candidate.

As DOD is slowly overrun by hippies, non-lethal defense will be a big winner.

technologically savy company is slowly building a base from which it will shows earnings growth at a minimum of 25% plus over the next five years. It will take the market a couple of quarters more before it realizes the undervaluation. It has a decent balance sheet which will now get even stronger.

A company name that has entered the lexicon as a verb (and yes, I've been tased) is one to recon with. The management has problems, but there is no better product as an alternative to deadly force (pepper spray would be the closest one, but it is not equally effective on all parties). I keep expecting that either another management team will be brought in, or that the company will be bought by a larger firm (or that an investment firm will buy it, take it private, restructure it, and then reoffer it).

TASER has a solid competitive advantage against other electronic control devices, just name it's nearest competitor. The litigation issues are clearing up. TASER has solid research to support it's product safety. TASER also has a product life of about 5 years meaning that repurchase for replacement will keep $ rolling in, plus there is the constant requirement for new cartridges and training cartridges, and batteries. Many police agencies are just now looking to add this product to their equipment lists meaning there is still fantastic growth potential for the product. Negatives would be that the product durability is questionable and no dividend as of yet.

I personally would NOT like to be at the receiving end of a Taser device, BUT it would be infinitely preferable to the alternative. I believe that the Taser technology will eventually win over the doubters, and that the company will thrive. Hopefully sooner, than later. I believe in the product and the need for non-lethal self-defense protection in law enforcement. I'm in it for the long-haul.

Litigation concerns are being abated. Many police departments rumored to be purchasing large deals including LAPD, France.

We don't need no stinking guns to fight crime.

Speculative? Absolutely! But it's the best non-leathal technology today and being widely adopted by police and used by patrolmen frequently. If the company can develop the self-contained shotgun shell technology they talk about on their web site it will be a quantum leap forward. The chart looks like the selling is pretty much over for now.

growth potentials worlwide demand hasn.t even scratch the surface ... the necessity for all law enforcement agency to have this less lethal weapon on their force is indispensable.

Being tased will always be a kinder, gentler alternative to a bone shattering bullet or repeated whacks with a nightstick. Heck, now police departments are being sued by grieving family members of people who police shot with a gun because they didn’t use Tasers instead! Product liability lawsuits are being dismissed since judges don’t consider them an unreasonable use of force. Attorneys are getting the message there’s no “easy money” to be had since TASR files motions for sanctions for attorneys' fees and court costs. Frivolous lawsuits

Shocking, isn't it?

As this technology becomes more popular with the public, prices should come down and more private cits will own it.

TASER International, Inc. is a global leader in the development and manufacture of non-lethal, self-defense devices designed for use in law enforcement, corrections, private security, and personal defense. TASER currently offers a limited number of devices with the TASER X26 acting as the main growth driver, contributing more than 65% to the company’s revenues.
The company reported improved profitability in the recent concluded quarter with revenues surging to $18.3 million, driven largely by continued penetration in the domestic market. Likewise, shipment of X26 units and TASER Cams to France has added momentum to the company’s growth story, and is expected to hold the ground in 2007 also. Moreover, a recent vote by the Los Angeles Police Department to spend $7 million on tasers is another substantial opportunity in the company's pipeline. On its northward journey, TASER has penetrated 9,850 U.S. agencies, or 50% of the domestic market, with 31% of these existing customers fully deployed.
Ever since the initial talk of the resolution of the pending SEC investigation in late 2005, the company has witnessed a significant ramp in police department’s trialing and evaluating the TASER for potential rollouts. Following the decision, the company has witnessed more trials turning into actual orders, a positive trend that is expected to continue moving through 2007. Furthermore, the company is also in the process of developing next generation devices in conjunction with the Office of Naval Research, which can positively influence TASER’s financials in the long run.
TASER portrays prominent defensive characteristics, with buy-back decision acting as a morale booster to the investors. An accelerating number of full deployments within the U.S. law enforcement, significant international orders coupled with other pilot programs, and an operating margin of over 20% suggest that TASER International, Inc. is embarking on a multi-year above average growth phase

I see every single member of the Houston police department carrying a Taser gun, and a less lethal weapon must be the way of the future.

This stock is a quiet sleeper now, but the potential is incredible, and the stock is currently cheap! With no real competitor, and the potential of a less than lethal means of force, this stock can only grow. When this financial mess is over, hold on tight, because this stock is going to take off like a rocket. Lethal encounters often result in multi-million dollar lawsuits, legal fees, and the stresses these things bring with it. Taser can reduce all of the above. With current interest from France, Australia, and new interests by agencies within the United States of America, there is a quiet freight train coming. Recently the California Highway Patrol began using the product, with exceptional results. The CHP is often an agency that others worldwide watch closely, and we are seeing the results of this manifest itself in worldwide interest. Hold on, it is going to be a great ride!

Non-lethal Police weapons. As this system is perfected and more Law enforcement agencies use the product there's only up for this company. More and more favorable court decisions indicate that this seems to be the tool for the future of law enforcement

I think there was an overreaction to the delayed quarterly report and there will be a bit of a bounce back...especially with all the cases being dismissed with prejudice lately! I refuse to make a longer term estimate on Taser at this time however. ;)
