Drugs coming off patent will make TEVA profitable. Their lean business model and cash flow is a plus.

Teva will be a dividend monster of the future. Teva has increased its dividend each year by 34% average over the last ten years. Aging of developed nations' population will drive demand for pharmaceuticals in general for the remainder of our lives (anyone reading this). Generics, in particular, will benefit from the current effort to rein in escalating health costs. Teva, the largest generic-maker in the world, is right in the sweet spot for top line growth. At a forward PE of less than 12, Teva is an incredible bargain for a company that should double sales every 4-5 years. Current market angst over loss of Copaxone patent and worry about indigestion from Barr acquisition are holding the lid on this stock; short-term static, in my opinion. Buy this stock now and hold forever.

Generics is the future.

More people getting older-faster, more drugs = more money

Extremely defensive and while the bad news on Barr will hurt the mkt will overeact and then come running back to Teva to find a place to hide from the coming correction.

Generics, Generics, Generics.

TEVA is a "defensive" stock. not something that will boost your portfolio when the market goes bull.
people think its Generics, but 30% from TEVA's income is from ethics products - copaxone (for MS) and expose to generics competition. no biogenerics (FOB) in USA means no way to grow in the next 5 years after copaxone loses its patent.

this co. appears to be recession proof

Best in the generic drug field. Generic drugs aren't high margin, so high volume gives the competitive advantange.

This is a winner. Great company all around! Go with it.

Increased government spending on medical care will force more attention on generics, plus their drug copaxone still has not seen successful competition as yet. Until that happens they will be very profitable. It is a very well managed company.

This is a hedge against my current holdings in AMGN. The future of generic drugs seems bright, whether it be from the U.S. allowing the importing of foreign drugs or allowing patents o expire without extensions. The population is getting older, they want more affordable drugs, and the government panders to the elderly because they vote.
