THQ, Inc. (THQI)

THQ is cleaning up thier financials. They have a respectable recent quarter current ratio, which, tells me they are prepared for the future. They continue to put money into reserch and development. And, thier new game (Biggest Loser) should be a hit to a new type of client. I expect after the next quarter this stock should be bound for a minimum of $10 per share.

Turnaround. The company has cut costs by closing studios and has strong growing brands in UFC and WWE games. Once the company estabilishes its profitability again - which should be quicker than most analysts think - this company's shares should double.

On life support. Risks for this pick: buyout or inexplicable publishing hit from an unknown studio.

It's official: THQ is imploding. This publisher seems to have decent selling titles, but can't make any money. Something's wrong with that. 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand won't be this publisher's savior, needless to say. More interesting to see is where Relic Entertainment will go, whether THQ dissolves or is bought out.

The opposite of ATVI, THQ is a sinking ship. Don't like what's out there or what's in the pipeline. Only hope it goes up faster than dow is if someone buys it. BUt frankly it would be cheaper to let THQ implode and then just pick up the talent you really want without getting stuck with the whole lot.

hows this for economic analysis? With the economy in shambles more people will want to play saint's row 2, and be a highly successful ganster, even though they already played GTA4 not too long ago. With unemployment on the rise, crime rates will increase, so the market is actually better for saint's row two to be received in than I originally predicted. So I will change this to a green thumb, which is foolish given how rapidly it has fallen and how bad everything is going in general. On a similar note, red faction two, where the first red faction involved a poorly paid/enslaved miners rebelling against the mining company, should have much more appeal to those unfamiliar with the first game. With rising price of gold and economy in shambles, everyone will be able to relate to the main characters. Despite mediocre critical reviews on the latest star wars game, i enjoyed it, and have a feeling it made some profit. Even those who were let down I'm sure would try a sequel. I've had a good feelings from the previews of their remaining games for the year, and now that everyone has lowered their expectations far lower than mine originally were, I'll pick this one. Bottom fishing is dumb but here we go!

Saints row 2 will sell very well, and future projects are likely to as well. Even if mom and dad are having toruble paying ofr the groceries, they always find room to give the kids the videogames on christmas and birthdays.

Not great games really, but good sellers. Saints Row 2 will definitely make some bank, among others. Lower price makes it appealing to buyers looking to pick up something in the videogame sector. Short to Mid term buy, probably become slightly stagnant after Christmas, and I would assume potential acquisition target in the coming years.

Given the recent economy downfall, one area that seems unaffected is video game software.

THQI has a solid lineup of games for 2008 with a potential blockbuster in Darksiders: Wrath of War and will have a huge hit in Red Faction for 2009.

With a P/E of 252.82 and a PEG of 23.07 how can you not think this will underperform?
