I'm loving this stock with it's unusually low PE ratio, good fundamentals, and tons of growth potential. A place like Brazil has much more potential for cellular technology versus land lines. Also, several companies have been rumored to be considering buying TMB.

Telemig is still much undervalued i...More

WARNING: Total Nube Here!

Positives:

Profit Margin and Operating Margin of 16.4% and 24.39%

Return on Assets and equity of 9 and 18%, and yet forward PE is only 7?

Revenue per share is way up at $49.503. So a great bargain for a growth stock at a market value of $50 per share.

Total Cash of $585 mil or $32.32 per share. So they have cash on hand of 63% of market share price. Makes me wonder what they are saving up for. Future acquisitions? Huge dividend? company does have a history of dividends, last one this past March. I guess they are just unsure what to do with all this money? I would like to see them split the stock to make the entry price more reasonable, and then buy back some shares to help push market price higher.

Total Debt is $96.37 Mil, which makes me wonder. Why are we sitting on this debt when we could easily pay it off and be debt free? The only reason I can think of is because of a possible future acquisition, but who are they courting?

Negatives:

Quarterly Earnings Growth is -78.6%. Would like an explanation of why they hit a brick wall this quarter. Cause even still, revenue growth is still up 9%. So its not as if they are a lame duck. I imagine there was some one time charge-off in there?

Summary:
Bargain price for a strong company. I would like to learn more about why they are sitting on all this cash, but in a market where so many great companies are selling at Bargain bin prices, it will be interesting to see what they train they're sights on.

Low P/E and debt, high returns, and plenty of room to expand in the South American telecommunications market. Brazilians love to chat, and mobile phones have overtaken the old landlines as the instrument of choice in S.A. Looks like a winner!
