Great company, bad time to be in it. Many others have entered the primium matress business in recent years. Today, people are hiding money under matresses, not buying them.

They sell awesome mattresses, and their operations are way more efficient than their competitors, judging by their superior margins. Their cash flows are sound and they have relatively little debt. I think they will suffer in the recession because their products are a bit of a luxury item, but they will by no means go bankrupt and I fully expect their profits to go back up to pre-crisis levels after the recession. In that respect, this company is looking cheap indeed.

I like there product and feel they will continue to grow at a faster rate then their peers

It is summer and sales of any kind of furniture are falling like birds. People do not have any kinds of disposable income as job security is scarce.

Stock is beaten down by recession fears which are overblown. On a nice 7 day uptrend. With 35% of shares short, this thing will pop when shorts have to cover.

They donate millions of $ of there product. They donated over $15,000,000 in 1 year. TPX tempurpedic has been doing this for years. Millions of dollars of products that a lot should of went to the trash but instead tpx gave them to a charity in NJ called waste to charity ( not the RED CROSS) and then said the mostly used mattresses were for Katrina and sued the charity called WTC. Tpx must get a stupid amount of returns. Last I heard Gifts and Kinds were selling the returns for $500 a trailer. Until TPX tempurpedic comes clean with the lies they will never rise. If they want to do the right thing they need to do it all the way. You can not donate a USED bed without telling someone that is sick it is USED. What if they get germs off the used mattress? Is TPX going to say we did not know.

Help people but tell the real story about the returns they donate.

As the rest of the world is getting richer, heavier and less healthy, buying a magic mattress that cures one's back is much better than doing stretching every day.
The brand has carved a premium niche in the industry and if their international expansion continues nicely, BRIC countries will certainly keep the revenue growth high in the next decade.

TPX has had great numbers until RECENTLY. The last quarter they didn't miss, but it was low. The stock price suffer dearly, they'll rebound. Sit patiently with a TPX chair.

Reduced interest rates should stimulate small cap stocks. Tempur-Pedic as a good return on equity and assets and relatively low PE ratio
