Healthy sales growth, especially outside the UK and sales would have grown more in the UK if it wasn't for the disastrous summer weather.

Mom, I have something to say about this company: People eat in London too.

Any of you american Fools have been at a Tesco ? :-) You were all mocking at me because I picked outperform on Sears and have never been at Sears or KMart, but hey, I've shopped in Tesco when I was learning how to play guitar in London, yay. Take that :)))

Tesco is cool, and a good managed contrarian like "Special Situations Fund" from Fidelity likes it too.

They are suppose to compete in the United States with Wal-Mart the next 10 ten years. They are opening 1000 new stores in the U.S. over the next three years. Going up.

UK play, moving into us market with upscale food marts, alternative to 7-eleven, similar to Famima stores, revenues excellent at home hopefully expansion abroad goes well

An English Whole Foods store that competes with Walmart worldwide. Well ran, with increasing profits. They are commited to spend 500m yearly in usa for development of stores. Coming to California which should be a real test of their marketing plan.Forbes had a recent article about them in April or May 2007 issue. I am watching and plan to go long if DD holds up to initial review.
