When I heard Fosters was spinning off its higher-margin wine business, I got down to research. It is especially intriguing given the rising middle class play in Asia; those folks presumably will import higher grade goods. Wine fits the bill nicely and Austrailia is the best proximity producer. I am looking for another catalyst in the next few years as well: I would like to see the ADRs move out of the OTC market and on to a major exchange. This would provide more exposure and allow firms and funds with restrictive rules in place to purchase, increasing demand for the shares and the price, all else equal.
