potential buy-out company; brand recognition, good r&d

Hey UA - you are my worst performer that I'm still hanging onto. I stood by you during that questionable decision to buy the SuperBowl ad slot. I've held my breath at your struggles with inventory. Why? Because everybody I know from the teenager to the 70 year old cyclist really likes your stuff. Now figure out how to make some money.

growth-sales 28%, ROA 73%, CF 30%. wld watch for market erosion as does not appear to hv moat
Recs
despite the recent run up in the stock price, this is a company that you can pick up at this level.

a good stock
Recs
Every athlete wants UA gear.
Recs
They make armor out of cloth. Amazing technology.
Recs
a good brand
Recs
the nike of the new millenium... and they are from baltimore Go ravens!!!

Based on past history...and when the economy recovers, people will be buying this stuff.
Recs
UA had a good brand a few years ago but over time I've seen people ignoring it for the cheaper, equally comfortable cloths of other brands.
Its high "quality" gear that people don't seem to care more for over other brands.
Wrap up: I just haven't seen people take to the brand more then when it was released and it was the hype.
Recs
quality product, buyer loyalty
Recs
While in an tough space at the moment, UA has built an incredibly loyal customer base among hard-core athletes. In fact, go on most college campuses today and talk to the athletes and they'll likely respond that they prefer UA to NIKE and any other brand products.
Like Nike, UA has hooked them young, and is becoming a dominant player. UA is what Nike was 25 years ago.
I expect significant growth out of UA in the next 5 years as they bring more and more products online for the weekend warrior. OR, I see Nike buying these guys if they're smart.
This is a buy and hold.

This will be Nike's main competitor in 20 years - easy buy and hold. The popularity of this product is tremendous and has a strong youth following. Their new shoe products sold very well and I expect the trend to continue, keep in mind this company has little to no athletic endorsements nor does it have a very aggressive ad campaign. I consider the age of the company the main factor in that, and I see them both as opportunities instead of hindrances...
Keep in mind they also just signed a deal with Cal Ripken Jr which I expect to pay off well. This is an awesome entry point.
Recs
small company, the best in their buissness. Has that "cool factor", doesn't appear to be wearing off.
Recs
I don't think their brand has long term differentiation.
Recs
Under Armour is a line of extremely expensive clothes that no one can afford in this recession much less any time else. There is no need for the products they manufacture. They have had terrible earnings calls and have continued to depress their shareholderse. The stocks low volume says it all. Buy Gap or some other clothing line that people actually buy.
Recs
A dominant player in the marker. They have their fingers in all areas of retail clothing. Just look around, you are probably going to see UA on someone. Small cap company with huge potential for long term growth. Mrkt Cap at 1.13B. Trailing PE at 28 and forward PE at 23, PEG at 1.41. Potentially a great time to enter into this small cap company. I haven't pull the trigger in my real portfolio but the brand recognition and fundamentals make it very appealing
