Apparently "You and Us" are so close together that UBS can't distinguish between their own money and the customers'. They got in trouble for making unauthorized trades on customer accounts and concealing the transactions.

UBS is digging itself out of the hole the previous management has put them in. In a year or two, they will be back to large profits once again. It is still one of the largest banks world wide. The risk profile has been drastically reduced and the new managemnt team under Oswald Gruebel is working hard to put the tax evasion story behind them.

Investment banks are aggresive in general, UBS was beaten badly in a bad market, should swing high in a bull market.
