Commercial Market issues reflected in stock price. Preferred stocks lowered common share value. As preferrred (TARP) money is paid back, common share value will move back up. Look at insider buying.

I was a year early in entering the recovery phase of the banking sector.

I believe there is still much to fix.

Low borrowing costs and upward sloping yield curve means banks operating earning should be good. I believe that the Fed’s strategy is to allow the banks to earn their way out of the excess created by years of credit extension.

The relationship with China is interesting, but not without risk for UCBH. I have listened to several conference calls and believe that management is prudent. I’m looking for appreciation to 6 in the near term as banks trend and then possibly to 10 in the next three years.

Don’t fight the Fed!
