5 year net profit margin is 41% vs 13% for the industry. Hmm, who could have guessed they would have to take a whopping $3.39 impairment charge to make up for all that aggressive accounting? (Conservative oil companies like XTO or XOM didn't record losses of course.) There are so many good oil and gas companies that it is silly to place your money in one with a questionable balance sheet.
