A fashion house that appears to know what they're doing.

Growing the top line very well through international and online expansion. Online apparel sales are increasing for everyone, but Urban is outpacing the competition. Online sales provide better margins, which means more profits. The company is just getting started in Europe, and has barely even touched Asia. There's a lot of room for the company to grow, and with Co-founder Dick Hayne running the show, I think he can execute the company's growth plan.

The demand for style and self expression is growing. Urban Outfitters has the latest designer clothes, which will be the styles and products people will demand.

Overbought. Shares will start sliding in Sept 12

p/e of 19 still give me pause, but they reported a decent quarter. I think there is room to run here -- Also, I love the antrho stores. Beatuiful and one of the only retail spaces I ENJOY..

I think the stock will rise. Buy it now while it's cheap and wait for the holiday retail season to start up.

This is one of the better midpriced retailers out here right now. It has consistent earnings and great designs for the target market. I would not be surprised if urban were to do very well.

The emerging hipster demographic in large cities and nationwide, will give this company its edge. Loyal customers keep this label running, of course this is also if no scandal has erupted yet like there were in the past.

In one word "Anthropologie"
This store is becoming the number one venue for discerning women and making a bucket load of cash in the process.

Watching for now, but for me this is a "buy what you know" pick. Myself, and my other late 20 something female friends are enamored with URBN's army of chic. Our mothers love Anthro, our little sisters and their friends flock to Urban and Free People, and we dabble in a bit of both. With the rumored wedding line in the works, the romantic handmade aesthetic surging in popularity, and historcally conservative growth, there's still upward movement for this potential powerhouse.
Recs
Plenty of room to grow since they've been so careful with expansion.

Value Line is very positive. Cramer recommends.

The Anthropologies line of stores is growing and steadily targeting the modern metro woman. They have recently announced that they are directly producing their own accessories which has a huge profit margin.
Amongst my male friends, It's been a truth for a few years now that if you need a gift for your lady, just about anything at Anthropologie will be a win.
As far as the rest Urban Outfitters stores go, smart management and a keen eye for what trendy girls like, it's hard to go wrong with this.
Next time you're in the mall, pay attention to where people are shopping, Gap is out, UO is in.
Recs
Urban Outfitters is one of the best functioning retail companies out there. When the recession hit they leaned up their inventories quickly to deal with lower demand. Additionally they maintain a strong and conservative balance sheet well suited for the weak environment around it. When consumer confidence really kicks back, wouldn't you want a lean mean retail machine? If you do, look no further than URBN

SunTrust and UBS just reiterated BUY, target price between 33-40

Apparel market's in tatters. Slave labor will soon be a bygone phenomenon, at least in the Far East. With dollar hegemony in quicksand mode who's gonna be able to afford shipping labor overseas!?!
