My process, for those interested:
I use www.random.org number generator to produce a number between 1 and 7,801. There are 7,801 stocks available to choose on the Motley Fool CAPS Game. Once I get a number, I go to the list, find that stock, and select that stock to outperform for the next five years.

High dividend yield stock in stable yet growing sector. Also gives exposure to emerging markets in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Russian mob calls in the hit...but seriously, good price action lately.

Check out VIP's coverage area. This company is an early entrant in areas I expect to see massive wireless growth. What are they, fifth largest?

VIP is doing really good on Russian market. It also spreading around all over ex-USSR countries like Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan which are developing countries , and it is an open market for VIP with a lot of potential for growth

Oh my. The worlds fifth largest telecommunications provider, getting hit like it deserves to be at rock bottom. Does someone not realize the significance, maybe downright reliance on cell phones these days? or should i even call it cell phones, maybe i should say palm sized computers. This stock will be more important that the worlds largest oil provider one day i'm sure. Really, raise your hand if you don't have a cell phone..... And well, once the high tech gets to other countries as much as it is here, where my life can be run by the iphone for the most part.... this will be a high rising stock, very profitable

The stock is currently trading at the lower levels of its trading range which I believe represents a good buying opportunity. With operations in fast growing emerging markets such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia as well as Vietnam and Cambodia, there is significant growth potential here over the longer term...

This stock should have a lot or potential for growth!~ However, remember you are dealing with Russia and former Soviet countries that havent given up on Socialism. Once a firm does well govt and beureaucrats expect, demand, their cuts. Always ask, can growthi outgrow the corruption in these coutries!
