Insider ownership uptrended, with a good current ratio, and moving from red ink to black.

Viasat owns Wildblue communications since 2009. It was recently announced that Wildblue is rolling out true high speed internet via satellite in the coming months. Though there will still be data caps for obvious reasons, this is a HUGE move and will tap into an equally huge market. Rural Americans who have never had the luxury of high speed will now have access to it. This could be quite groundbreaking.

One of the most recognized suppliers of bandwidth and enabling SATCOM components to the military. VSAT will be expanding broadband via satellite as well in the near future.

i like their aggressive move into building their own satellite and how negative of a reaction the street had. brought the price down to where it seems undervalued considering their fundamentals as they are, and after adding in the potential upside from the upcoming satellite, it's a buy.

Hey! They are right next door. Used to work there too.

There are other companies in this space that are making far better products and have much better management. Look for this stock to continue to fall on the heels of an acquisition binge and as the expenses tied to "Dankbird 1" satellite purchase mount.

VIaSat is suffering from gross mismanagement and the effects are only beginning to show. Once the DoD wises up and takes it's business elsewhere this company is dead. It has no revenue outside of the government contracts.
Recs
The satellite broadband play is a money pit and the negative market reaction bears that out. While the government contracts keep revenues high, the lack of R&D leaves it vulnerable to competitors leap-frogging it. The high turnover and inability to attract and retain talented employees is causing ViaSat to consistently turn down business - a recipe for disaster.

Trying out RSI screener.
VSAT has crossed 30 on the RSI and also recently received an upgrade to "buy" (for what that's worth).
Seems unreasonably hammered thus far this year - down 38% YTD.
Recs
Leader in the development of new satellite telecommunications technologies and manufacture of satellite communications products, this company who just signed a contract to launch its own satellite should grow significantly in the future.

Great financials across the board. Digital Satellite communications is the wave of the future and ViaSat is surfing it up!
