This one has been undervalued for more than a year. That's something which only happens for small caps I guess.

severely undervalued well managed firm

Cheap, cheap, cheap. Need I say more. . This is a great value right now. Market is far too down on defense companies. While budgets may or may not be pared down over the next year or two, we can't exactly go slashing our defnese budget that much. Overdone....and this looks to be a nice company to prosper from it.

Few stocks are cheaper than this. Apparently the news about how the DOD is going to cut down on contracting for services is driving this. I worked for them for 35 years and during that time the trend was going the other way because contactors can be fired while civilian employees can't. My bet is nothing much will change.

This is one of my STARZ.
Here is the thought process on this STAR:
a) Divided rate over Zero
b) 3 Year Beta between -5 & +3
c) 15% + Insider ownership
d) No greater than -50% Growth rate for the last 3 years (tough last couple of years so good that insiders are still owning the stocks)
e) Current CAPS rating between 3 Stars & 5 Stars
Open to all Industries and Sectors screened this down to just 250 stocks. I like round numbers. 12 of them I already own through other screening tools. I tend to be somewhat conservative but looking for 3 things at this point in my investing:
1. Stability & Strength
2. Yield and Modest Growth
3. Strong Position within a sector regardless of whether the
entire sector is strong or not. Each sector has to perform to some degree for the whole world economy to function. I am looking for 5 or more years down the road, ROI, and Growth. Not looking for rockets, just stars. This is a Star!!

I wish I knew about this stock when it was 30 bucks. I'll be considering buying this one with real money because if it continues to earn 1.50 a quarter the stock price will be at 60 in no time.
What about a year or two from now, 1.75 a quarter times 4 quarters times a P/E of 12? That's $84 a share considering a very realistic growth rate and a very realistic valuation. Tell me I'm wrong.
Please inform me if there's any news I should be aware of.

Already have this company in my personal portfolio. Stock is way down today, so it's a great time to rate it and buy some more! Plus the CAPS community just put it at 5stars, so outlook is good!

Solid management, excellent acquisitions, a focused and pragmatic view of the future of the company, and record results in 2008... Did I say that right? Record results? Yes. I did.

This micro-cap is pretty volatile, but it has outperformed the S&P for the majority of the last 2 years and at $25 it's another great buy in this downtrodden market. Also this company stands to benefit from the infrastructure component of Obama's stimulus plan. I'll hold this one for at least 3 years.

Chosen after reading the article "Promising Stocks Wall Street Ignores" (14/1)
Today I fully understand why Wall Street ignored it.....

Leading contender to get engineering work for rebuilding America

Interesting company. Almost always beats the market. As of 01/17/09 the company is up +38% for the year in the CAPS 5 star ratings. Lots of stock held by insiders. Right now it is at its peak for 52 weeks, but it is worth watching.
