Low P/E, great growth, good RoE

Even though government contractors are over paid, they perform the job more efficiently than the government can. And with Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Iran, and the unrest in Latin America they will be a big part of the US budget.

used a stock screener to come up with some ideas. microcap, p/e 5-12, rev and eps growth between 5 and 50%, insider ownership 5-50%, and roe between 15-50%.
currently the ebit yield is about 15% and the roe and roi are 24.9%. prob sell when yield is about 7% or so.

Good earnings persistence. P/S 0.16, 0 D/E. PEG 0.16.

Already have this company in my personal portfolio. Stock is way down today, so it's a great time to rate it and buy some more! Plus the CAPS community just put it at 5stars, so outlook is good!

Solid management, excellent acquisitions, a focused and pragmatic view of the future of the company, and record results in 2008... Did I say that right? Record results? Yes. I did.

This micro-cap is pretty volatile, but it has outperformed the S&P for the majority of the last 2 years and at $25 it's another great buy in this downtrodden market. Also this company stands to benefit from the infrastructure component of Obama's stimulus plan. I'll hold this one for at least 3 years.

Good long term, esp after the hit they took w/ the Army contract.

I loved the fundamentals of this company, but was absolutely burned by this pick when VSE lost their Rapid Response 3G contract. Just shows you the risk inherent in betting on the government acting in a certain way, especially when a company's revenue is hugely dependent on a single contract. That sort of exposure to a single bureaucratic office is dangerous.
I'm keeping it as an outperform now, though, as the loss of the contract is more or less priced in, and there is the outside chance that their protest will be successful and the Army will reconsider the contract, sort of like what happened with Boeing in the KC-X fiasco.

Interesting company. Almost always beats the market. As of 01/17/09 the company is up +38% for the year in the CAPS 5 star ratings. Lots of stock held by insiders. Right now it is at its peak for 52 weeks, but it is worth watching.
