The selloff in the REIT sector has provided a tasty entry point for the healcare property segment. This portion of the REIT market is about as detached from the economy as they come, and demographics favor it for years to come. Going bullish on all the best participants.

REIT's are down. This one seems good. Owns property leased by LT health care orgs.

Shifting demographics mean what this company owns will be in demand. Get it while its not so hot. Solid LT play, what are you waiting for?

Can you say the phrase "Aging Babyboomers"

This stock is included in the Morningstar "Dividend Portfolio," which I use as my core stock group. I highly suggest anyone interested in dividend income take a look at this grouping of quality income producing stocks.

BABY BOOMERS! Over the next 10-15 years the population of retired and aging people will drastically increase due to the Baby Boomers. We can already see it starting, but in much smaller proportions than what we'll see in the coming years. Frankly, a co. that manages retirement, assisted living, and nursing home community properties stands to do quite well, as space will be at a premium. Look for solid long-term gains from Vetras.
Factor in the recent sale of several properties to Kindred (for what looks to bring profit for the quarter) and you can look for solid short-term gains as well.
Recs
ok dividend - baby boomers are comming

Great assets, Sunrise purchase will prove to be a good 1 2 years out

It's about rest homes. People need rest homes. We are people.
