+ Watch VVR
on My Watchlist
An investment trust company.
VVR has held up well in a rocky market. It's dividend is far above average and it's portfolio is well diversified. Senior debt has a safety net that doesn't exist with common stocks. With so much uncertainty in the new year, it may be an above average holding.
rising interest rates will increase the nice 6% dividend
Great dividend payer, not very leveraged (so risk of banks calling their debt are low), been beaten up w/ some other financial stocks. With the way the dividend works in CAPS, my initial investment in this will be zero in 12 years, so my returns will be infinite! (At least I am guessing this will happen w/out putting much thought into it, but I can't really think it is that easy to game the system, is it)?Either way, I think this one will hold up ok.
Huge dividend yield
Watch this one go - better get in before the spike.
