Verizon Communications, Inc. (NYSE:VZ)

Strong market position, Improving product offering.

I like this partnering with Coinstar. It will give Netflix a run for it's money and with Amazon becoming a force to reckon with also, Netflix will plummet. Verizon will offer its customers the ability to add streaming onto their plan and the movies that aren't available for streaming, will be ordered online for pickup at the Redboxes. Ingenious.

I know it's romantic to say that "no one owns the Internet," but Verizon comes pretty darn close. As bandwidth use skyrockets (streaming movies, cloud services) they will have the power to charge a premium for the privilege of using their infrastructure.

Top wireless company, new deal streaming in conjunction with Redbox could be a nice new growth driver. Good positive cash flow and 5%+ dividend.

smart phone increase usage will create more profit

Continues to lead the American wireless market in terms of subscribers.

All stock picks are buy and hold. Verizon wireless (VZ) is a great long term investment with a dominate market share for wireless services for both home and business and 6.5% dividend yield. In today's world people ages six to sixty are using smart phones and the use of data is only increasing month to month; which will make their core service even stronger. Smaller aspects of their business include their growing fiber optics television service called Verizon fios. There are even talks about them moving into online movie streaming, and with the poor decisions by Netflix in recent quarters market share is open for anyone to come and take it.

I'm liking the numbers, but I don't know about the product. I avoid companies that sell just one type of service, but they do have solid numbers and a good outlook (plus a strong dividend). Probably make 1-1.5%.

Verizon's deal with Spectrum Co, if allowed, will provide a superior competitive standpoint against AT&T. The coalition formed by the deal would be a formidable opponent for AT&T. Verizon will also likely be drawing iPhone users away from AT&T for years to come. If the deal fails, I stand by outperform, but the two giants will be much closer competitively.

Good Div. OK financials. Great products. Medium/Long-term. People love these phone things.

OVervalued stock considering LT potential for earnings growth.

Not going anywhere anytime soon, sprint, AT&T, t mobile, no one will take them down. With $11 billon dollars in the bank spend 3-4 billion dollars and buy Netflix take over the video streaming market and steal any and or all thunder from AT&T

In my book Verizon is the hands down leader in the mobile phone market. With Isis and all that coming soon, these guys will make some money over the next year for sure. Easy
