From the invester's view point, Verizon is the place to be. From the occassional cell phone user's view point (60 mins per month), T-Mobile is the place to be. So, that is the dicotomy I straddle. Customer one place. Investor another. It's important to know where you belong and where your money belongs, don't you think?

It's said there are negotiations in the works for Apple to drop its exclusive contract with AT&T ijn early 2010 and switch to the 3G superior VERIZON (tick: VZ) network. This means all thoose new Iphones not including the steadily increasing Motorola Droid smart phones will substantially increase VERIZON's bottom line! Indications sugguest that this may be the last week to pick up Verizon at a low price target beow $32.

Why not. They will acquire Alltell and become the largest wireless carrier in the country (oh wait, they already are the largest). Take a look inside one of their stores...see how many people are in there gobbling up those phones? Crazy.
On a personal note, I hate them. Took them 6 months of crappy customer service to get my phone line billing right.

After seeing AT&T respond so quickly (and ineffectively) to Verizon's "there's a map for that" campaign, I was convinced they were scared. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Steve Jobs picked up the phone and demanded they respond. Bad AT&T coverage in the San Francisco Bay Area is widely known, but Verizon is now doing a nice job of spreading that word further. They were smart to wait on this assault until they had a phone sexy enough to fight the iPhone, and this makes me think there are some smart minds at the helm.
