(MS) it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it

There will always be garbage and WCN seems to have the best vertical integration and business strategy... going where they can be a monopoly.

Good cash flow and value. Net only down b/c of acquisition. Should have some room to grow...
Recs
Beating the S&P by almost 40%. Decent P/E and good margins. In up or down economy people can't just throw there trash where ever they see fit, especially in an environmentally conscious world like today. WCN managed to stay positive during the last economic downturn and will do the same now.

research backs up my choice

Waste Connections Inc.posted solid revenue growth and increased earnings Q1 FY08, largely driven by acquisitions, increased prices and increased volume. The company is reasonably solvent, although it needs to improve its liquidity and decrease its debt. It could face some challenges with higher fuel costs, but should outperform if management can contain costs and improve its bottom line.

In the coming years waste disposal is going to incease with the growing population and with the ablitiy to recycle and reuse almost everything in a landfill waste disposal is going to play a major part in the energy sources that could run our homes some day

The tremendous growth thus seen in the waste management sector is going nowhere even in the face of a recession this summer. Bill Gates sure called this sector a few years ago when he invested gobs of money into it becuase he saw an oppertunity. Well, folks that oppertunity is still there, and I see this entire sector continuing up. The laughable P/E of all of these companies will soon disappear. Time to jump on board if you haven't already.

Green! Recycling is one of big concern for now day call the "Modern Era". It is great to get ride of all the junks, and use those junks to convert it to profit. This cycle will never end. Who got all the benefits. A person's trash is another person's treasure.
Recs
bullish on recyclers. keep bringing your trash to Metalico (MEA) to recycle and profit with. watch those gas prices !
Recs
Everyone has garbage, right? This company has been steadily growing and buying up smaller companies. The waste business is a great business to be in.

I love this stock! Having held this stock for more than 3 years, I have seen nothing but profit and split.
Applying common sense to this one, you will know that as our population grows, so does our trash. This company is incredibly well managed and growing at a healthy rate.
This stock will go nowhere but up. Buy it now and reap the rewards.
