A freind of mine asked me to look at this back at $1.30.
I had no problem with the company, but watching the movement of the stock made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
This is obvious manipulation but it is being manipulated upward.

This internationally diversified oil services company is available for approximately 1.1 times book value. The balance sheet is sound and the company is modestly profitable. Estimated 09 profits are $0.10 per share and '10 estimated profits are $0.18 pr share. With its current financial structure I expect this company's future roe's to be approximately 12% per year. Considering the company's excellent longterm growth prospects, I think the company should trade for more than 2 times book value.
Recs
Low prices oil services stock selling for book value.

The company is sound despite the fact it is being stiffed on monies owed it by Venezuela, of course anyone operating in the oil business in Venezuela has had trying times with King Hugo stealing...err, nationalizing everything. Why we still do business with this despot is fodder for another time. The point is that Boots & Coots has weathered tough times before, and even with the current situation is a profitable company. It has never been a huge jumper in the market but it stays consistent.
Recs
Because oil demand still exists and the search for Oil will always exist, thus Oil platforms need services like Boots & Coots offers.

This guy is a good company and stands to rebound along with the oil rebound we are bound to see.

How am I not rating this? I own it in real life at $1.26.

I like this entry better.

Recently dropped with oil, but oil ALWAYS drops in an election. $100/barrel will not last long after the beginning of the new presidency. Look for oil to rise, and with it WEL. Also, can anyone NOT see Israel bombing Iran's nuclear sites? Hello oil fires! Who needs WEL?

Plenty of evidence that its business is expanding internationally as well as domestically. It has a niche, a sweet-spot!

boots and coots, again the name made ne look but the growth and balance sheet made me buy

This stock appears to be "catching fire" with many more investors!
VectorVest likes it now!
Earnings no doubt will be going up in double, possably triple digits and more new services comming.
There could be "explosive" growth in the next few years!
Nice low p/e, management, forward earnings, debt very managable.
Daily volume picking up everyday for a week or two now.
What's not to like?
Could this be the next "CLF"?
(Sorry for the puns!)

Services are in demand. Well positioned to profit.

For a long time this stock was held down by OIS selling a large position. That sale has been completed and WEL's fundamentals continue strong. This stock showed one of the most bullish stock signals for me - the CFO bought 50,000 shares with the stock within pennies of a 52 week high. Generally speaking that's a very strong indication and I wouldn't be surprised to see WEL at $5 next year.

Exploration for oil and gas will only continue to increase in the near future. No matter what is said about alternative energy the infrastructure is not in place, so that means we have but one choice and that is find more of what we need. With time being of the essence, exploration companies will need more equipment, to truly take advantage of the boom times. This is were boots makes their money.
Recs
WEL recently obtained a $28M contract for oil services and has prospects for additional significant contracts. Also WEL is a buyout candidate.

Drill, Drill, Drill, all the new interest in finding, and then drill both on and off shore this Boots & Coots just seemed to be a good choice for me.

There will always be a need to put holes in Mother Earth. These are the guys and gals that put out the fires when Mother Earth gets angry. Which these days is often.
