Healthcare reform will be too watered down and impotent to be a threat. Due for a good run.

This is one of Cramer's 4 defensive legs to roll through 3Q 09. I think he's on crack, but I guess I gotta get me some of that crack too.

Healthcare stocks are beaten down due to the health care reform, but are still posting strong earnings.

Selling at 9.5 times earnings, 15% growth. Depressed due to healthcare debate.

It looks ultracheap today. Can't imagine what it looked like when it hit $31 on March-3-2009. Wow!
I think market has priced this one so low due to the healthcare debate and uncertainty surrounding it.

I am acting on Cramer's theory that healthcare stocks are due for a breakout as the plans for health care reform become less and less radical. Wellpoint seems like a good candidate because it is selling for 1.15 times book value and less than 10 times estimated 2009 earnings.

This way-undervalued, major healthcare company looks like it has already met bottom and is knocking on the door for the return journey. Add to this any healthcare incentives from government and we have a hot item on our hands. :-)

Wellpoint = undervalued

There will be no shortage in health care. Not only that Wellpoint serves approx 3 out of every 5 people. The bears came to town and caused forced liquidation due to issues unrelated to earnings. Look beyond the short term and realize deep value.The bulls look for a bounce in 2009 and beyond! Remember one thing America is getting older and the baby boomers want to live longer.

Never deserved to be priced so low. This is a monster opportunity to pick from the best HMO's at fire sale prices.

The recent WLP/X-Prize partnership is huge for long term prospects for WellPoint -

In short term, it helps position this company as leading change in an industry that desperately needs it - and will help it win business with new clients and allow involvement with the new administration post election

In long term, what isn't being focused on is that WLP will be in the driver seat (not it's competitors) to review all new innovative ideas submitted on how to improve healthcare processes and redesign the way the industry works - many which will have a direct impact to WLP business - and this company (again per the agreement with X-Prize) will be first to develop implementation expertise by piloting these solutions internally.

WIth a P/E of 7 - and drop of over 50% in stock price this year alone - I wouldn't want to be shorting this one without very deep pockets
