It's Mal-mart is Mexico...they seem made for each other! Wal-mart provides the reliable quality and a price point that is a perfect fit for the Mexican market. They've already become Mexico's largest retailer in the short time they've been there. Q1 profits for 2008 are up 11% and net sales are up 14%, and EBITDA is up 17%. That's an indication of solid success in the Mexican market.

Wal-Mart does well in difficult economic times, and situations. Plus, international stocks had a downturn recently, and are a great value pick.

Walmart in Mexico.... I'll buy that and so will the denizens of Mexico. Look for healthy gains in the coming years as Mexico consumer spending continues to grow.

Well, Mexico is not as hard hit as U.S. and Walmart is known and cornered low price leader. I think this stock has been hyped already and I don't like P/E but believe it will be a winner for the next few months if the economy in Mexico is not hurt by US. So I'll go for an outperform.

Mexico economy is booming and the desire for goods from America is great, Wal-mart is great at selling local goods in their stores along with all the American best sellers...prices stay low.

Wal-Mart and Mexico are a perfect fit. A conservative company providing low-priced goods and a consistent experience in a country with many poorer people, a conservative culture, and no other major consistent retailers. Should continue to do well - wish I had added it to my Caps portfolio 22% ago instead of just putting it on my watchlist.

With Mexico growing, land deals and construction, consumers will need to fill there new homes with consumer goods.
