Nothing to write home about...other than the ability to continue to make a bit of money during a bad recession.

this stock is proven to be recession proof, and will probably ride the recovery wave as well. Buy more.

The Jonessss were spotted shopping there! They continue to add quality product lines that even the Jonessss take a second look at and throw in their carts. They continue to deal with and stomp on the little irritants that get thrown at them. Then put up the big yellow smiley face and say watch out for falling prices. Oh that's clever: ) UP UP & AWAY!

Wal-Mart is a company that is probably one of the greatest contributors to the US economy. It currently suffers from a smear campaign by the unions, turing it into one of the most aligned companies in the world. This had made the security quite cheap.

Wal-Mart employs 1.8 million people worldwide, 1.3 milion in the US. A UBS/Warburg study found that its grocery prices are 17-29% less than other supermarkets. Compare that to WFMI! This translates into an estimated saving of 2,300$ per household per year. This may not be a great deal if one is on a 50,000$ income, but for people in the 10-12,000$ bracket this is a great deal.

If Wal-Mart unionizes they would say goodbye to low prices and to their most important competitive advantage.

Despite of what the recent smear campaign would want one belive, Wal-Mart is a very good employer. Benefits for full-time employees include health insurance (for part-time employees working longer than 2 years this applies as well), a stock option program as well as a 401(k) plan. Benefits aside, Wal-Mart offers people who were not lucky enough to have benefited from a good education a great career path. They give people with literally no skills an opportunity to work, escaping the prospect living on welfare. It certainly is a major contributor to the economony as well as to society.

Wal-Mart is one of the great companies in the world, with incredible growth potential world wide. Current bad sentiment caused huge declines in price and presents a unique buying opportunity.

It's a contrarian buy nowadays. Once the sentiment shifts towards a more level-headed appraisal this security should experience a nice price appreciation.

WMT has declined over the last seven years and has just turned the corner over the last 6 months. The P/E and Price to book are at the same levels they were just before the almost 4 bagger years of 97 & 98. If you are not on board, jump on now.

Everyone likes a bargain. Whether you make 20K or 150K+ per year, Walmart sells what people want and why pay more than you need to?
