This one is about to get bloody, as more young people are turning to the UFC, where the fighting is not real, but far more exciting. WWE is losing its luster and some fake blood packets and good story lines just won't save them.

SPORTS IS ENTERTAINMENT. I LOVE BASEBALL, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL & HOCKEY. THEY HAVE WAY TO MANY TEAMS. I FORESEE BY 2012 25% TO 35% OF ALL PROFESSOINAL TEAMS WILL NO LONGER EXIST. THE NFL THURSDAY GAMES ARE A BUST. GOODELL HAS BEEN TOLD BY NFL TEAMS THAT AS MANY AS 35% OF ALL SEASON TICKETHOLDERS WILL NOT BE RENEWING IN 2010. CORPORATIONS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SPONSOR STADIUMS & BUY THE BEST SEATS TO MLB, NFL, NBA NCAA FB/HOOPS. THEY NOW HAVE TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVERY PENNY THEY SPEND. ARENA FOOTBALL IS DEAD BECAUSE OF LOST SPONSORSHIPS. THE WWE & UFC WILL BE THE NEW BIG DOG ENTERTAINMENTS FOR THE NEXT 3/5 YEARS. WWE HAS DONE WELL WITH NO SPONSORSHIP. WELL RUN COMPANY!!!!!

An excellent dividend and I also think the brands world wide appeal is very underrated. I believe the brand can grow.

If it's one thing the WWE isn't afraid of it's taking a risk. Over the years the WWE has bought out wcw, ecw, made the xfl, and now has started a production company. I don't think anybody will argue that the XFL was a horrible mistake, but that?s the chance they took. Can you imagine the obscene profits if the XFL had flourished? Most people look at the WWE is silly wrestling, but it's not - it's a media empire, and as a media empire it's always looking to expand its tentacles.

Personally, I'm excited about the expansion into the movie business. How many fans will go see their favorite wrestler in a movie? Many How many will buy the DVD? Alot, that?s how many. From the other end it makes sense to - You have 3 entire rosters of wresters that for the most part can act, so if you need a soldier, gangsters, bad guys, etc... you have somebody that is already used to playing that stereotype and can fit right into the role.

Just another thought on the movie division. The first WWE movie "See No Evil" rated only 5.1/10 on imdb.com, and critics almost unanimously said it stunk. BUT ! The movie is going to break even on DVD sales. How often can a flop be made and still break even? You have to remember - that was their first release, and as they gain experience they'll gain fiscal efficiencies. Imagine the potential profits on a good or even great movie.

Great dividend and solid returns. If the economy continues to soften, at home entertainment, such as Television viewing, is a potential bolster for this stock.

Man, I'm embarassed to have this one, but it's a good shot that it's going to go long. I'm no expert on professional "wrestling", but I don't think anyone ever went broke betting on sex and violence.

One of my largest real life, long term positions is WWE. It's also one of my best performing stocks overall being down about 1% for me, but I've been collecting over a 9% dividend yield, so that 1% ain't no thang. The stock is a good investment because of the dividend, and that's all you really need to know about it. Don't worry about it being male soap operas that sell based on sex and violence. Don't compare it to UFC, because UFC is real and WWE isn't. Don't focus on your personal perceptions about their programming quality or about how bad their in house movies are. Just focus on the dividend. As long as the dividend keeps getting paid the stock is fine. If they ever cut the dividend it's time for you to cut and run as well. Expect the stock to bounce between $14 and $19. Don't expect huge capital gains from this one. Even when the market was humming this stock was pretty boring. You buy it for the dividend. The End.

UFC is taking over.

WWE will be back out after Wrestlemania is over soon. They need another mainstream icon like Hulk Hogan to survive. Boys (and sadly many grown men) today have more entertaining alternatives than they did during WWE's heyday.

One possible revenue upside may come from WWE's new subscription Video On Demand service. Some cable operators already offering.

The WWE has a lot of negative things coming up now that will really hurt their bottom line. A few wrestlers have died in the past year or so including this recent tragedy with Chris Benoit. It will really give a black eye to the company and most likely lead to pressure regarding steriod use. Even though the WWE says it is testing for steroids now the public will not believe that it is true. Second, the demand for such entertainment is a limited demographic which is now being split into other areas such as UFC and other shows revolved around fighting. Third, there is finally a rival again in the wrestling ring. TNA wrestling which is comprised of a lot of the former stars of WWE has started to gain fans and television ratings. As more and more wrestlers jump to TNA from the WWE TNA will keep gaining ground and the WWE will have to keep trying to find new talent. All of these factors together are a lot for Vince McMahon to overcome. Anyone who has paid attention to wrestling over the years knows that it's popularity goes in cycles and right now is a downturn for WWE.

Yes, I chose the WWE. Why? Well, it goes back to my childhood and watching the classic stars of Hulk Hogan, Junk Yard Dog, Jimmy Superfly, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, and I could on and on. But I digress. This entertainment company is growing in the US market and International market. Recently the WWE increased the dividend for the stock holders to 50%...you really can't say that much about other companies out there to do the same. Its a company that is under the radar and will continue to be under the scope of investors. But not this one.

Naturally expanding its business into films. Unlike the XFL, movies are a natural progression.
