However this may prove to be a mistake if it rises back in sympathy during the upcoming rally time. The 'build homes' aspect has hurt this one. Another reason why I am down on it is that I am really trying to assess downward direction in stock that have some room to deflate in price. While the downbeat penny stock help statistics a lot, ( I am guilty of using them like some in the CAPS community) I am trying not to always take the easy way out. What is the point in beating down further what is already trodden? I want to identify trends (up or down) on my own and see if I can use that skill here. From the company profile: "The company manages approximately 6.4 million acres of self-owned and 0.7 million acres of leased commercial forestland in the United States; and has renewable long-term licenses on 15.1 million acres of forestland located in 5 provinces in Canada." The float is about 210M shares. So for every 32-33 shares (or about $1500 at current prices) you have 1 acres of forest. This works from several angles: weak dollar (property preserves value), oil prices (biomass is a credible base power source), and global warming (potential carbon offsets?). Further, they yield 4.8%.
