Steel etf. I have been watching this forever. Some would say I have overhead with Posco, which I agree. Steel is too hot not to have. Just because they aren't building as much in the US doesn't mean the rest of the world isn't too.

I like owning scarce resources. A basic supply versus demand play. Demand for metals, particularly exotic alloys will continue to outstrip supply and should lead to general price increases for both the in-ground reserve value and refined products. The increased price of the basic in-ground minerals increases a firms overall asset values, similar to the proven reserves for oil companies. Buffet would call this look through earnings.These values will be reflected in increased stock prices. The profit margins generated from ore refining and sales of finished products should also increase from scarce supplies and limited production capacity. Similar to the oil industries refining margins and profitability.
