+ Watch YORW
on My Watchlist
The Company's business is to impound, purify and distribute water.
Predicated on historical fundamentals and looking at the future consumption, I think this is a Performance rating with a fair dividend and makes for a good portfolio addition
This pick on July2012 has a great valuation, great free cash flow, great valuation, relatively stable valuations and are not part of the financial sector.Additionally there are quite a few short sellers jumping on this stock who need to at some point cover their shares & buyback this stock.Market beaters list:tickers making this cut: BG,ATRI,NHC,KELYA,ALCO,FF,ACET,MOLX,SUP,YORW
Yorw is a well run company with a steady dependable dividend.
A high quality company. Consistent dividends. In reality this stock is actually difficult to acquire because it is so closely held (and relatively small cap) Many investors are very long term and local. The company has a history of consistent earnings and returning those earnings to the stockholders. Although this stock isn't going to turn you 100's of CAPS points, it will consistently outperform the market.Hold this long term for reasonable and consistent gains.
Water is the next gold...Whichever it's cute, water is a scarce resource. Part deux = Supply and Demand.
Simply folks are underestimating the need for water infrastructure buildout/improvement in both the U.S. and globally.
i like pepsi but owell
The economy is bad, and it's getting worse. The P/E of this company is high and the current ratio is low. The double whammy is that this company will not only have trouble getting financing, but it's customers (people in general) are getting hurt with the economy.
I inherited this stock over 10 years ago and seen the share prices go up and down over the years. My shares have split 3 times since I first held this and the company has a strong history of continous dividend payments. While the market right now is volatile and the economy is so so, YORW serves an area that is attractive to a growing number of young homeowners who commute to work in MD and currently is upgrading their infrastructure. The water rates for the counties YORW serves is set by the state so each time they increase the rates, YORW wins. Recently the state delayed the latest hike but it is inevitable that they will raise it. Just a question of when.I can see this stock going back up into the high teens 5 to 8 years from now. It has always been a slow riser but neverless a steady performer.
Solid managment and a solid company. New expansion into Maryland. This stock will be $19 ->20 by end of year.
Return on Equity is down, but still looks ok. A year ago the target prise was nearly double today's price.
