Hecla holds hand with Aurizon

This catches me off gaurd like that hook you never see coming.  But Hecla announces today that it will be aqcuiring Aurizon Mines for CAD$796 million.  Sinch once wrote, maybe it was last year, that Hecla had not aqcuired any juniors, unlike Yamana, and a s a result had not progressed in teh recent years as it shoudl have to stay competitive with the likes of AUY.  Well, its better late than never.    [more]

I was thinking about getting shares of FAZ sometime this year as I suspect our economy may take a southward dip.  I was told by a Fool to not buy such 3x ETF's unless I intended tohold them for a few days otherwise I'll lose mymoney.  It got me thinking, "What the heck are these investment vehicles?".  So, I was hoping I coudl some of you to chime in and help me understand these 3x ETF's.  I figure anything I get here can compliment what I find on the i-net.  [more]

GPL vs. BRD

I'm in a quandry andhoep you Fools can help me out.  I'm stuck between reducing my $/share value in either GPL or BRD, but not both at this time.  Reading their Q3 reports, however, does not help me decide.  I didn't listen in on their phone conference either :(.  Any input out there between who they think is better?
