The 7 day rule

After reading a post about the incredibly annoying 20 minute rule, I decided to post about the 7 day rule.  There is no rule in actual trading that if I buy a stock, I must wait 7 days to sell it.  I can sell it that day if I want.  But on caps, I have to wait a whole week.  Honestly, I don't see a reason for this rule.  People still pick huge quantities of stocks, hoping to up their scores.  They just end them after 7 days instead of skillfully picking stocks and ending them at the right time (which might be after 6 days).  I really think caps should reflect real life a little more.  [more]
