I heard buying distressed assets from banks that are leveraged 10 or 40 to 1 will free up 1 billion for every 10 or 40 billion we buy. So our 700 billion won't go far. Also, the banks getting rid of this toxic waste have tons of losses, so they may hoard any capital they free up.  [more]
