A member's rating indicates his percentile rank in CAPS. tenmiles is outperforming 99.99% of all CAPS members. A member's score is the total percentage return of all his picks subtracting out the S&P. A member's accuracy is how often that member has made correct predictions.
To calculate a member's rating, we take 2/3 of his score percentile and 1/3 of his accuracy percentile. For further information, read the Member Ratings section of the Help page.
Average Pick Score is a member's total score divided by the total number of picks (active and closed). It represents the member's average return after subtracting out the market's performance.
Average Pick Rating is the average stock rating of a member's total picks. Underperform picks are flip-flopped, so a underperform call on a one-star stock is treated like an outperform call on a five-star stock. This rating reflects how closely your picks are aligned with CAPS ratings.

The score leader for a stock is the player who has achieved the highest score for that stock. This includes all picks made by a player (active and ended).

I bought ITWO last December in the aftermath of a failed takeover by JDAS. It’s been a nice investment, up about 170% in less than a year. ITWO picked up a breakup fee and the stock looked quite cheap on most value metrics. Yesterday, JDAS agreed to come back to the table with a sweetened bid – all in, this will cost them about $70 million more than last fall. ITWO can back out of the deal for a $15 million fee if it finds a better offer from SAP, etc. That’s a free put, of course, since they would be using the JDAS original break-up fee to try to locate an even better offer – pretty funny in the ironic sense… Now for pretty funny in the moronic sense. The most recent poster on ITWO, apparently trying to shill for a short-selling newsletter, advised members a week ago to sell ITWO as its Z Score indiciated trouble. [more]
